OUR PRODUCTS

SIGMA KNEADER :

Sigma kneaders, being our regular manufacturing machinery, Capacities from 5 lits LAB Model to 6000 lits Industrial Production. They are fabricated as per user defined standards, specific to product applications. We manufacture specific kneaders meant for pigment and ink industry for manufacture of specialty pigments and flushed colours.

CONSTRUCTION

TROUGH: The trough or Sigma Bowl is fabricated and bolted in construction. The trough is machined to close tolerance to minimize the clearance between the blades and the trough walls. This ensures thorough kneading of the material. The trough is provided with a mild steel jacket to circulate heat transfer medium and is generally capable to handle a pressure of 5 kg / sq. cm. The trough is provided with a hinged lid with either light wt or heavy duty to suit vacuum service on request.

SIGMA BLADES: The blades are cast in one piece with integrated shaft. The shape and profile of the blade is derived to suit specific requirement so as to achieve optimum kneading results. The blades counter rotate at different speeds to ensure effective shear gradient.

DRIVE ASSEMBLY: A perfectly machined and robust housing is provided with a bearing housing, complete with a stuffing box to ensure vacuum service. The housing is capable to take dynamic loads and maintain a leak proof sealing. The stuffing box is provided with ports to circulate cooling media (water) to ensure gland cooling.

UNLOADING ARRANGEMENT: The trough is provided either with a hydraulic or mechanical motorised arrangement to tilt for unloading the mass effectively. However, the laboratory size machine is provided with manual tilting operation.

BASE FRAME: The base frame is fabricated from Heavy Steel sections and clad with M.S. Sheets. The base frame is provided with proper lug-supports with provision for proper foundation of the machine. The rugged design ensures the machine to withstand heavy static and dynamic loads.

AGITATED FILTER NUTSCHE

Agitated Filters play an important role in various solid – liquid separations under pressure or vacuum. This process reduces time taken for filtration along with delivering a product of better dryness in comparison to conventional open nutsche. Not to mention the closed environment that ensures contamination and pollution free process

Agitated Nutsche Filter consists of an agitator that has a vertical travel which is either mechanical or hydraulically controlled. Agitator blades rotate in both clock wise and counter clockwise direction for the required process for filtration / unloading of wet cakes.

Being operated in a closed environment, wastage / spillage of material is totally avoided along with compactness in space requirement. Unlike conventional nutsche and open filters where recycling of wash medium is next to impossible, here wash medium can be easily re cycled as the washing takes place in a closed and controlled system.

RIBBON BLENDERS

Ribbon blenders are used for dry blending of powders. the blender is "U" shaped with ribbons whose movement is to push the material forward and reverse directing, thus ensuring effective homogenizing/blending of the product. the ribbons are located such that there are no dead spots within the container. Alternatively, paddle type of blades are also provided. The design varies from product to product. The blender is provided with bottom discharge with an option of Rotary Valve to ensure effective air locking and leak proof fitting. We fabricate and manufacture blenders of various sizes to suit user defined specifications.

VERTICAL MIXER

Vertical Mixers are best used in food and beverage industry, plastic industry and allied chemical industry where homogenization of dry granules / powders are essential, either prior to using the product as a batch or before final packing of the finished product. these mixers have a bottom inlet hoppers where the material is picked up by a central screw and taken upwards. the product falls in the conical container below and the re-cycling takes place till the product is homogenized. its best suited where moisture content is negligible and preferably dry or where additives in fraction is to be used for bulk homogenization and applications similar to these.

ZERO HOLD UP FILTER.

Zero Hold up filter are most effective in pharma and bulk drug industry. The media to be filtered enters from the bottom of the filter press, enters the central challel and enters the filter plates from the top. The clear solution comes from the sides of the sets of filter plates and is collected in the shell and received from the outlet provided in shell. This filteration ensures 100% filteration of the media and is used in most filteration applications in pharma and bulk drug industry.

DE-AERATION UNITS

De-aeration units consists of a shell and internal ballon that carries the material to be de-aerated. the whole unit functions under vacuum and its a continuous batch operations unit. it is effective for industries grease manufacturers where de-aeration is essential before packing of the material.

REACTION KETTLE and AGITATED PRESSURE VESSELS

Reaction Kettles are fabricated in Carbon Steel and Stainless Steels, from capacities ranging from 500 lits through 25000 lits, with planetary gear box. We fabricate high-pressure vessels, autoclaves and vessels for vacuum service.

HEAT EXCHANGERS

We fabricate single and multi-pass exchangers in Carbon steel and stainless steel.

a) a 2:1 ellipsoidal dish under formation

b) 6000 mm dia 2: 1 ellipsoidal dish in crown and petal form.

DISHED ENDS

We undertake forming of dished ends in carbon steel and stainless steel. Thickness of plate is from 4mm up to 50mm thickness and maximum diameter for one piece forming up to 5000 mm diameter.

Dished ends are formed with minimum thinning at the knuckle. Many of our dished ends have under gone stringent quality inspection for surface finish and thinning allowance check.

In the adjoining photograph, you can see our huge hydraulic press forming a thick plate. And in the next photograph, you can see a huge dish in crown and petal design. This is a 6000 mm diameter 2:1 ellipsoidal dish formed and tack welded for inspection. Similarly, larger diameter dished ends in 2:1 ellipsoidal dish or hemispherical dish can be formed.

Apart from regular dished ends and ellipsoidal dished ends, we also undertake heavy steel structure bending and related work like straightening of plates in higher thickness up to 150mm.
